We are committed to providing quality products and world-class customer service. We have the exclusive rights to distribute the original SPLAYD® here in the United States and Canada. We believe the SPLAYD® is the best and most functional utensil on the market and we are excited to introduce it from Australia. Once you use a SPLAYD® you will use it every day. It will replace your fork, knife and a spoon.
The SPLAYD® is a perfect wedding or anniversary gift. It will be one of the most memorable gifts because it is so unique and will be used everyday. In Australia it has been one of the desired and favorite gifts among newly married couples.
We plan to change the way Americans eat one SPLAYD® at a time.
CHARLES & LORRAINE WALTER
Lorraine is the Aussie of the bunch and grew up in Australia. She had not yet heard about the SPLAYD® until later in life. She married and an American Charles Walter and came to America. Their children grew up using the SPLAYD®. Now it is the utensil of choice for the entire family.
ANDREW & SHERYL WILLIS
They are widely known for being at least a little strange. They have always dreamed of vacationing in Australia and have been planning their trip for many years. To plan their trip, they watched all of the Crocodile Dundee movies more than once and began greeting each other in the morning with an enthusiastic, “G’day, mate!” They plan on taking Aussie lessons this summer. On their upcoming trip they would like to try some Yabbies and grilled kangaroo topped off with some cranberry, coconut macaroons for dessert. Using the SPLAYD, of course.
STEVE & KARA HAVERTZ
Kara is Charles and Lorraine's youngest daughter. Steve and Kara met in January 2005, fell in love and married soon after. Steve’s first wife died in 2003 and left him with three young children to care for, Matthew, Krystal & Emmalee. The children accepted Kara as their new mom and the family bonded. In May 2010, Steve and Kara were blessed with a baby boy, Carston. Kara introduced SPLAYDs to the family and they've been hooked ever since. They only use the SPLAYD for most meals now. Kara hopes to one day bring the family to Australia, as that is where her fondest childhood memories are. Until then, they use SPLAYDs to feel like they are there.
GIVING BACK
In 2008, Emmalee Havertz, was diagnosed with liver cancer and left this life a year later. The Havertz family watched as liver cancer ravaged little Emmalee's body. The physical and emotional demands became too much for their nine-year-old to bear. She died on the first of October, 2009, after her body succumbed to the effects of this horrible disease.
Make a Wish Foundation gave Emmalee and her family a chance to enjoy a trip to Disney World. It was a chance for Emmalee to forget her cancer as she was treated like a celebrity at the theme parks and was ushered to the front of every line. Make a Wish Foundation made it possible for this family to make some treasured memories that they would not have been able to make otherwise.
As a company we want to give back to two organizations that are always giving to children who are suffering from life threatening illnesses.
Make a Wish Foundation grants wishes to children with life threatening conditions. They have been granting wishes since 1980 and have granted over 177,000 wishes. They give children a chance to choose a wish from one of five categories: to meet someone they look up to, to be someone of their dreams, to go somewhere they have always wanted to go, to have something they have not been able to get, or to give something to someone else.
Give Kids The World is a 70-acre resort in Florida, located within twenty minutes of all the major attractions. It also caters only to kids with life threatening conditions. The volunteers there are the most amazing people. They come from all over the world just to offer their time and talents to these sick children and their families. We were not just guests when we stayed here; we were treated with love and kindness. Emmalee was treated like a celebrity there and at all the parks. She was always ushered to the front of every single line.
A portion of all sales will be donated to these two incredible organizations. The love and generosity they showed Emmalee and her family is immeasurable.
